MCW-Ltd has just commenced work on a new scheme for Pobl Developments in Carmarthen. The scheme will deliver 10 new 2 and 3-bed houses for social rent, contributing to addressing the housing need in the town.
The site is located on the existing Ty Gwynfa land between Abergwili and Bronwydd Road. Challenges include significant site clearance whilst protecting the mature trees on site, and construction of a new access road from Abergwili Road.
The houses will be constructed from Durisol block. This innovative product is made from woodcrete blocks – providing a robust, sustainable and thermally effective superstructure.
Works are programmed to start with site clearance in February and take a duration of around 12 months.
