MCW-Ltd is a family owned and run business based in West Wales. Formed in 2003 by Managing Director Paul Morgan the business has evolved into an ambitious and highly skilled construction solution provider.

Through an experienced management team, skilled directly employed resources and close relationships with the supply chain in west Wales. MCW-Ltd is able to offer services far beyond those you would expect of an SME based in the region.

The company has developed to deliver significant housing and insfrastructre projects for the region. Key capabilities to support this offer include:

Civil Engineering capability. The management team includes technical and commercial staff with a broad range of civil engineering contracting experience. We directly employ resources with the skills to deliver any infrastructure work. We own a modern fleet of plant and use technology including 3D design and GPS controlled machinery to deliver our work efficiently
Construction and Residential building experience. The business and management team have a broad range of construction experience. We are focused on delivering a significant pipeline of social and private housing solutions in west Wales.
Contractor led turnkey solutions. We are advocates of the Early Contractor Involvement approach and have the skills to lead multi-disciplined teams through technical, commercial and delivery stages. Leading the process maximises our opportunity to develop innovative ideas for efficient delivery.
Sustainable business model. Based on local employment, local procurement, investment in people and managed growth the business inherently supports the local economy.

Above all MCW-Ltd is a young, determined and positive organisation. The Directors and Management Team vow to be hands on at all times. We can provide sophisticated construction services but in a flexible, fun, non-corporate environment.

People

The quality of the people at all positions in the business are key to MCW-Ltd’s service. From construction operatives to Directors we are an integrated team and can share ideas and learn from each other in this environment. We directly employ around 50 people in south west Wales and are committed to this model and development of people in the region.

Paul Morgan

Managing Director

Paul formed and has run the company since 2003. Paul is proud of the fact that he has learnt his skills in the working environment and has self taught the technical, business and leadership skills to get the business to where it is today. These qualities have resulted in the positive environment within the business. Paul has developed collaborative working relationships with Clients, Frameworks, Stakeholders and the business community in the region. Paul has developed a team that allows him to delegate responsibilities and focus on continuing to provide hands on involvement at project level. Paul’s ambition is to see the business thrive and realise its potential but to a scale that continues to provide hands on involvement from the senior team.

Matthew Morgan

Director

Matthew is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 20 years’ experience working for major contractors in the UK. Matthew has worked on some significant projects in the highways, rail, power and process and education sector and has an excellent relationship with industry bodies, Clients and suppliers in Wales. Matthew has recently joined his cousin – Paul to develop the MCW-Ltd business. Matthew is Passionate in developing MCW-Ltd’s capabilities to deliver a really high quality service.

Huw Smith

Commercial Manager

Huw is a Chartered Surveyor with considerable experiencing in civil engineering and building contracting.

Huw is responsible for all commercial and financial aspects using his experience to provide processes for managing estimating, cashflow and cost control.

Malcolm Davies

Procurement Manager

Malcolm has recently joined the MCW-Ltd team but has over 30 years experience in the regional supply chain in west Wales. Malcolm will improve our procurement efficiencies and build on the close working relationships we have with our suppliers.

Emma Morgan

Finance Manager

Emma is an experienced Accounts Manager and hugely passionate in developing the MCW-Ltd business.

She leads the management of the company’s financial administration as well as leading other key business areas including HR, training and IT.
